Flood warning – Colston Bassett

It is probably best to avoid trying to drive through Colston Bassett for the next couple of days. After a day of heavy rain yesterday, the water levels gradually rose throughout today making Church Gate and Bunnison Lane impassable. Not everyone heeded the ‘Road Closed’ notice though and one overly optimistic driver discovered the water level to be a little higher than expected.
