Tony Hall retires as Cropwell Bishop church organist

Steve and Hilary presented Tony Hall with gifts at the end of the Mothering Sunday service in St Giles to mark his retirement from the role of church organist.

Tony started playing the organ, mainly at Granby at first, over forty five years ago, to help Colin Perkins, the vicar. In recent times, he has been the resident organist at Cropwell Bishop, but over the years he has played for services throughout the Parish, as well as being choir master and leader of the children’s band.

The Parish presented Tony with vouchers for the Air Hostess, Tollerton, and a magnificent basket of flowering plants to Vivien, his support crew.

Tony and Vivien would like to thank the Parish family for all their kindness and support. We’ll raise a glass to you while enjoying several occasions at the Air Hostess!
