Spring Serenade raises £1000 for St Giles reordering fund

An appreciative audience was treated to delightful music and song by the talented Nottinghamshire performers, Paul and Alistair. From 3rd century to modern-day, through stage and screen, classical and jazz, the range of styles brought smiles and occasionally tears, and never failed to totally engage us. Later, after the appluase had died down, the cake crumbs were cleared and the bottles gathered up, the takings and additional donations were totted up against the expenses. We hoped, somewhat aspirationally, that we would raise £1000. In fact, the final result just beat this, netting £1007.01 to go towards the St Giles’ reordering fund. Grateful thanks to all who supported this event in any way.
