A day conference of of talks and workshops at the Minster School, Southwell. ‘Setting God’s People Free…for Monday to Saturday’ is a national programme of change to enable Christian people to live out their faith naturally and openly, in all aspects of their daily lives, from Monday to Saturday as well as on a Sunday. It looks outside Church structures to the roles that Christians play in communities and the wider society.

Keynote Speaker: Gordon Jump, Programme Manager for Renewal and Reform.
Gordon Jump heads up Renewal and Reform who have an ambitious programme of work, which seeks to provide a narrative of hope to the Church of England in the 21st century. It is rooted in a sense of Biblical hope and an understanding of Christ’s call to us to pray that the Lord of the harvest will send out workers into the harvest field. Their goals are to contribute as the national Church to the common good, to facilitate the growth of the Church in numbers and depth of discipleship and to re-imagine the Church’s ministry.
Our Younger Leadership College will have members of the apprentice track present talking about their roles and vocations, and growth and encouraging vocational ministry both lay and ordained.

10.30am Why I joined the Apprentice Track and the journey so far – representatives from the diocesan Apprentice Track being run by the Younger Leadership College.
11.00am Setting God’s People Free – progress to date and the learning communities – Gordon Jump, Programme Manager for Renewal and Reform
12.45pm Lunch (provided)

3.30pm Closing worship, with a reflection on the day

Each workshop will run twice
Parish Buying – This looks at how you can increase income and decrease your costs in the parish using the power of the national church and bulk buying. For all those who love getting good value in ministry. Nick Jennie (National Procurement Officer).

Everyday Chaplaincy – Making an impact in everyday life through the power of God to impact the ordinary and make it extraordinary. Jo Tatum (Workplace Chaplain)
