Treasurer needed – can you help? A part time treasurer is required to look after the finances of our six historic local churches in the parish of Wiverton in the Vale, including at Colston Bassett, Cropwell Bishop, Elton, Granby cum Sutton, Langar cum Barnstone and Tythby cum Cropwell Butler. The treasurer does not have to be a churchgoer or have formal qualifications although an understanding of bookkeeping principles is needed. You will be given full training and handover from the current treasurer, becoming a trustee of the Parochial Church Council (PCC) which is a registered charity. You will report to the PCC at their meetings currently held six times a year. Basic computer skills are required including the use of Microsoft Word and Excel spreadsheets and emailing.
