Connecting a parish mailbox to Yahoo! Mail

If you have a parish email account and would like to access it via Yahoo! Mail, here is how to go about it.
1. Access your account on the Yahoo! Mail mobile app
It is not possible to add an external mailbox to your Yahoo! Mail account via the web interface that you probably use on your laptop or desktop. You have to do this via the Yahoo! Mail app. If you don’t already use the app, you will have to download it from the App Store or Google Play.
Open the app and tap on your profile icon in top left-hand corner.
2. Add your parish mailbox
Tap on
+ Add another mailbox.

Enter your parish email address and tap Next.
Enter the server settings exactly as shown to the left, then tap Next.
You will see a message which says that the app is verifying your server details.
Once verified, you will be asked to enter the password for your parish email account. As you type, this will appear as ****** in the password field. If you want to be able see what you are typing (and avoid mistakes!), tap on the ‘closed eye’ icon (
) to the right of the field.
Once you have entered your password correctly, tap Next and the magic will happen
3. Using your connected mailbox
In future, whenever you use the app or the web interface to Yahoo! Mail, you will be able to select which mailbox you wish to access.
In the app, when you tap on your profile icon in top left-hand corner, you will see a list of available mailboxes. Tap on the one you want to access and you will be able to view and send messages from that mailbox.
In the web interface, your mailboxes are listed near the top of the left-hand pane, with the active one highlighted. Click on the one you wish to access.
