Online JOY! is a hit

I’ve now had the privilege of hosting two JOY! services on Zoom with a good number of children and adults at both. From all the smiling faces and thumbs up, I gather that everyone has had a good time, I certainly have. This week we were delighted to welcome one person in his care home and another in her hospital bed.

In spite of the “organized chaos” the children have listened attentively, sung enthusiastically, and made some excellent Nativity figures from toilet rolls and elastic bands. Zoom has proved to be an ideal vehicle during the restrictions with the big advantage over real life of the “Mute All” option! Nobody minds if the communal singing and prayers are a bit out of step. My thanks to Tony for playing the keyboard, to Ann for using her craft teaching talents, and to the children who read the Bible story and wrote and read the prayers.
