This evening, I stumbled across one of the BBC 2024 Lent Talks on Radio 4. It was entitled Mary’s Pain and was an extremely thought-provoking piece about how Mary might have reacted to the suffering and eventual crucifixion of Jesus. It is one of series of six and, if the others are as good as this, all will be well worth listening to.

Lent Talks are broadcast on Radio 4 at the following times:

  • Mondays at 11.00 pm (for night-owls)
  • Wednesdays at 8.45 pm
  • Saturdays at 5.45 am (for early-risers and insomniacs)

… but can also be accessed online at any time through BBC Sounds.
