In loving memory of John Spence

We are sorry to announce the death, on 20 February 2021, of John Spence.

John was a long-time churchwarden of Holy Trinity, Tythby and possessed an encyclopaedic knowledge of church procedure and history. He is survived by his wife, Ruth, two sons, Andrew and David, and three grandchildren.

The funeral was held on Wednesday 3 March at St Andrew’s Church, Langar followed by a committal at the cemetery in his home village of Cropwell Butler. Due to the current regulations, attendance at the funeral was limited so the family have asked that a recording of the service be published to allow extended family and friends to share in a final goodbye.
