Easter Sunrise Service – 1 April 2018

At 6 am we were blessed by clear sky to the to the west and a magnificent full moon. Over thirty early risers were present for a service to celebrate the glorious resurrection of Christ on Easter morning which was welcomed by hearty singing of songs of praise, followed by a time for reflection in the churchyard. Sunrise came at 6:38 am but a blanket of cloud to the east meant the sun was nowhere to be seen! After the service, we were treated to a “Full English” in Colston Bassett Village Hall, cooked by the appropriately named Bacons.
