Deanery working party reviews Parish Share allocation

The working party set up by the deanery to review how it allocates its share of the diocesan budget to the parishes has begun its work and will be reporting back to the deanery in March 2019. This review is being carried out in response to a promise the leadership team made to Synod in 2015. Also, whilst the Wiverton Group of Churches (now the Parish of Wiverton in the Vale) has historically ensured through sacrifice and prayer that  its parish share is paid in full each year, that, sadly, is not being reflected across the deanery as a whole and many parishes are struggling. This review is being carried out to help the deanery leadership understand why and to explore different means of allocation in the hope that all of the Share allocated to the deanery is paid every year.
