Christmas shoeboxes go to Ukraine

Christmas Shoeboxes Destination
Ukraine is the destination for our Shoeboxes this year, where the plight of the sick, disabled and impoverished children has been made much worse by the war. This year, the soldiers on the front line were given forms to fill in with the details of their children, if they wanted them to receive our Shoeboxes. The boxes were loaded into a huge lorry and departed for Ukraine on 12th December, in good time for Christmas.
Thank you everyone who contributed love, joy gifts and money. The members of the Parish of Wiverton-in-the-Vale churches donated 51 boxes. A special thanks to Jo Wroughton, the Cropwell Bishop Youth Club leader, who organised the donation of 67 boxes from Cropwell Bishop Youth Club and school, making a total of 118 boxes from our community.
