Christmas Shoebox Appeal 2023
We’re joining the charity Teams4U again this year to send shoeboxes full of love and presents to poor children in Eastern Europe. The war in Ukraine has made the situation very much worse, so that many children there have nothing they can call their own. Our gifts will be the only ones they receive.
You can cover your own (standard size) shoebox with pretty paper or, for ease, pick up a flat-pack box from one of the churches in the Wiverton Parish. You’ll also need an instruction leaflet/label from a church (or download one here). You can watch videos containing useful ideas on what to put in your shoebox on the T4U website.
The filled boxes will be collected and blessed at the Langar service on November 5th. If you can’t be there then, please deliver your box to St Giles Church, Cropwell Bishop. The very last date for returning boxes will be Wednesday November 8th.
