Christmas Shoebox Appeal 2021
We are partnering with Teams4u this year to spread joy to children in difficult situations around the world.
We know these have been very hard times. For our friends and family at home and for many people overseas. The pandemic has pushed millions of people over the poverty line and made desperate situations a hundred times worse.
Dave Cooke, Founder of Teams4u
We are so humbled, that it is still in people’s hearts to support our Shoebox Appeal and continue spreading joy to children.
If you would like to join this appeal to bring joy to a child in great need this Christmas then you will need a leaflet/label that will explain what gifts you can put in the shoebox. These can be downloaded here or found in the churches in the Wiverton in the Vale Parish along with flat-packed shoeboxes that you are welcome to take to fill, if you haven’t got a suitable box at home.
The favourite gifts of ALL the children, regardless of age and gender, are:
- cuddly toys,
- toy cars,
- a photo of you or a Christmas card with a written message.
Please return the filled boxes to a church or the Rectory porch by November 22nd or earlier.
We don’t yet know which country the boxes will be sent to, (probably a cold one). We do know that each box will bring joy to a child living a tough life.
Thank you on behalf of the child who receives your box.
