Advent Procession, Southwell Minster
December 3, 2023 6:30pm – 7:30pm

This atmospheric service in Southwell Minster begins in darkness, building up to a glorious light as the coming of Jesus is foretold. In word and music, themes of prophecy and expectation come together, pointing the way towards the salvation of the world. Beautiful music is sung by the Cathedral Choir, whose journey through the building reminds us of our own spiritual journey towards the light of Christ, in anticipation of the glories of Christmas.

We anticipate that many people from across our parish and deanery will wish to attend this service and we would like to coordinate transport arrangements.

Entry is not ticketed; however, early arrival is advised.

If you would like to attend with the group from East Bingham Deanery, please contact the Parish Administrator by 3pm on Wednesday 22 November to register your interest so that we can plan appropriately.

Afterwards, you are invited to join friends from East Bingham Deanery for some fellowship in the warmth of a nearby hostelry before we all make the journey home.
