Online Service – Sunday 15 November

Sid Mitchell (LLM-in-training) will be leading the service this Sunday and Katharine Bacon (LLM) will be preaching. Peter Hills will be leading the intercessions, Helen Hills will be reading the lessons and Dorothy Thompson will be leading sung worship.

The blocks in grey will not be displayed because they have the ‘hide-this’ CSS class (see under Advanced in the Block Editor)

• Before the post is initially published
  • Update the post heading and URL slug
  • Update all the sections in blue below
  • Replace the Featured Image for the post
  • Update the link for the Order of Service
  • Under Advanced, remove the Additional CSS Class hide-this from the blocks with the placeholder image and the “Coming soon!” text below
  • Add comment tags around the YouTube link in the HTML block below
  • Update the default “Service” selection on the feedback form
  • Change the Category of past videos from Upcoming to Archive
• After the video has been uploaded to YouTube:
  • Replace the YouTube link in the HTML block below with the appropriate URL (making sure to keep the ?rel=0 part) and remove the comment tags around it

Although church buildings must, once more, close their doors, we will continue to publish regular recorded services on our website. This will provide us all with an opportunity to pause and reflect on God’s word and our response to it.

We hope that as many as possible will watch this video at

so that we can share the experience of corporate prayer and worship whilst maintaining social distancing.

You might find it helpful to display a copy of the Weekly Notices side-by-side with the video or have a printed copy handy. The responses for the congregation will appear as subtitles in the video, but if you would like to download a copy of the Order of Service, please click here and the file will open in a new tab.

The video will remain on the website afterwards, so that you can watch it again later (or for the first time, if you missed it before!)

You can make the video fill the whole screen by pressing the button at the bottom right of the video window once it is playing.

Time for a Cuppa

We are replicating the tradition of ‘refreshments’ after the service with an online Zoom meeting at 11.30 am. You will obviously have to provide your own tea/coffee and cake/biscuits, but you should be able to enjoy the company of others who have shared in the service and catch up with news. For reasons of online security, we are no longer publishing Zoom links in the Weekly News or on our website. Please contact Robin Coles if you would like to receive these links by email.
